Unfortunately, if your website looks untrustworthy, chances are they’ll think the same for your business. I’m going to show you exactly how we built trust on our client’s website so they can convert website visitors into leads.
At the end of this article, you’ll have 4 easy ways to build trust on your website.
It's not your fault
The problem is you are spending good money getting traffic to your website but it is not converting into sales. Nowadays, it’s fairly easy to get a generic website in 5min and start a Facebook ad campaign at 5$/day.
But almost every time this is not the best way to go.
I’m sure you have a great business and have awesome feedback from your customers. Yet, the website you have right now doesn’t do justice to your business.

More money into ads
You might think that by throwing more money into ads you’ll increase conversions. You’ll definitely increase the number of visitors to your website but not necessarily your conversion rate. At the end of the day, if your website looks fishy, you can have 1M visitors on your website and 0 conversions!
In this article, I will prove that throwing more money into ads is not the solution.
WHAT TO DO
1. Web design
I know this sounds obvious and a bit vague, but there is a way for you to understand what I mean.
Check websites that you know and look trustworthy to you. Now, I want you to write anything that for you helps build trust. For example, it could be the images they are using or the quality of their logo or even their website layout.
2. Show that you are real
Unfortunately, the internet is full of spammer and untrustworthy businesses.
Our goal is to show to the world that you are not one of them!
The best way for this is to have an online chat! You can use the messenger chat provided by Facebook or any other as long as it’s a live chat. By knowing that they can get in touch with you anytime, your website visitors are going to be more willing to buy from you.
The other thing you can do is have a picture of you on your about us page!
Remember, the about us is about you and your business. Make sure you have images of you at your business or with clients.
Moreover, share your story on this page. Website visitors go there to know more about YOU and your business so they can make a decision.
3. Update your content
Keep your website alive! The best way to do this is to change your homepage for specific events, Christmas for instance.
But, the easiest way is to have a blog page and share content related to your audience. This way you can write one article per week and upload it to your socials. Website visitors will then see that you are active but also are an expert in your industry.

4. Social Proof
Finally, you should have a testimonial section on your homepage, to show that people already bought from you!
The best is to do this is to have a picture underneath a testimonial.
Even better have the same testimonial on your social media. This way, website visitors will see that they are not fake reviews.
Even with all this, you’ll still have website visitors that don’t convert into leads.
It’s part of the game.
You have to keep in mind that trust is earned over time. Like anything in life, it’ll take time and you’ll have to give before being able to ask for anything.
So let’s be honest with ourselves and be ready to have a bunch of website visitors. However, if we carry on providing value to them they will come back later on.
If you do what mentioned above, you’ll then convert them into leads.
